Wii Fit for weight loss?

Is anyone using a Wii for exercise? I've read some conflicting reviews on whether or not it offers an adequate workout and then read user reviews that say weight just comes off! I'm looking to get one as a supplemental work out - for days like today, when I'm sick... or on those days when I have to be up too early to make the 40 minute round trip run to the gym and can do something at home.
Are there any games I HAVE to buy for the best workout? I'm looking to get the Wii Fit Plus and then saw Wii Fit in Six and was wondering how that was. Feedback appreciated!
Thanks!

I have a Wii fit, haven't used it in a few years, though... I found that it was fun, but didn't really get me sweating. But then, I was just using the basic Wii fit program, I didn't try any of the other programs out there for it.0
