It couldn't hurt to do it. I can't tell you if class will help you control your bad eating habits though. You're the only one that can, in the end. However, taking the courses required for that will educate you on what you should do and help you to make much smarter choices, if you follow it.

I'm going for psychology and nutrition. Fitness will come later as I want to be a personal trainer with a background in psychology... or the other way around, depending on how you look at it. That's a lot way off though because I need to work on me first.

I can't see how it wouldn't help you, other than if you flat out refuse to follow anything that you have learned. Knowledge is power and if you enjoy these subjects, you should study them. I don't know about pay, but this is something that will be useful for years to come. People will always need and want nutrition advice no matter how saturated the internet is with information. Good luck!

My best friend is about to finish her bachelors in dietetics.
After you finish you have to do a year internship than it's highly recommended that you go on to get your masters, which the majority of the dietitians do.
So I would take that into account.
I'm finishing my bachelor's in business and have been thinking about a masters in nutrition along with an internship and the test so I can be one too.
She has learned soooo much about fitness and health =].

Study something that interests you and that will get you a job in the end. There's no guarantee taking a degree in nutrition will help your own eating habits. Keep in mind that there are doctors that still smoke, police officers that commit crimes, psychologists that are nutty...you get the picture.
