Hi all, wondering if you can help with a problem. I have recently brought myself an exercise bike, i've started off slowly only doing 15 kilometers a day but this doesn't feel enough. With the added exercise i am easily meeting my calorie goals but i feel like i could be losing more by cycling more! So my question is how many kilometers should i be doing a day? does anyone else use one of these things and how far do you cycle??

Cheers for the help!

Phil

It may sound flip, but it's serious: do as many as you feel comfortable with and in a manner that you will sustain your exercise and not get tired or bored with it.

The best exercise/level of exercise is the one that you'll stick with.

I don't use a stationary, but road cycling is my exercise of choice, and I use a trainer (road bike mounted on a contraption) in the cold weather months. My normal/average ride is 25-30 miles, or 40-50 km. Sometimes I go shorter (15ish miles), sometimes longer (45-50ish).

    Cheers for the help!
