I just joined up and wondering if anyone was interested in buddying up and doing this thing together? It would be nice not to have to do this alone. If you're interested let me know!

I'd be happy to buddy up. One on one support would certainly make this journey a little less lonely.0

I'm new also, you can count me in too!0

Thank you both! I'm looking forward to getting back on track and do all I can to help you as well! So umm...how do we start?:embarassed:0

Just start tracking all of your meals and have some fun too... make it a game of life. Try to win by making the most healthiest meals and getting the biggest bang for your buck. And try and figure out new and fun ways to get your exercise in.0

I could use a buddy myself. I just started on the 15th and I lost 6 pounds right away but bounced back 2 pounds for a loss of 4 pounds.
I know it was all water but it is discouraging.
I have never been one to like exercise and I have a hurdles to overcome so I know that being able to vent and to look for encouragement will be very helpful to me.
One hurdle is, I am 50 so my metabolism has slowed down, I also have been dieting so much that I'm sure that that has reset my system to starvation mode. put all of that together with an under active thyroid and knee surgery in May. So.... HELP I will need lots of help over these excuses to give up.
In exchange I am only to happy to help anyone else over that finish line as well.0 -
Hi bkrbabe57,
What kinds of foods do you like eating? Any fruits or veggies in particular? What types of meats do you like? I have a lot of recipes and in my nutrition class we had to make menus for a family of five-each with different likes and dislikes along with allergies. Maybe I could give you some food ideas that you might like. I find it's almost impossible to stay on a diet if I'm eating foods I don't like. I try to find ways to make the foods I like fit into my diet, though I am learning to eat not so much on a restricted diet but in a way I can continue for the rest of my life. I read somewhere that the word "diet" comes from the Latin word "dieta" which means "way of life"0 -
I am a very picky eater, but I would love to see some ideas that anyone might have.0
