How do I overcome weight loss plateaus?

My weight loss was going great until this past week... I've been staying under my calorie limit (but above 1200 calories/day) and I've been exercising fairly regularly, but this past week I haven't seen any weight loss. What are some ways I can overcome this? I don't want the plateau to last so long that I get un-motivated...

    I was in plateau-mode for just over a month...my solution (sorry it requires patience) is to ignore the scale as you may be losing inches/clothes getting loser etc etc. and persevere through the plateau...you have to believe it will pass and carry on regardless of the scales...I stopped weighing and carried on...eventually it passes.
