Right before that TOM, or even during, do you find yourself waaay hungrier than what you are normally, I mean, cant think for thinking of food kind of hungry? If so, what do you do to deter yourself from stuffing the piehole, or do you eat, but nutritional stuff?

    Yes, of course!

I try to still eat healthy foods, and some chocolate. I know that the "I can't stop eating even though I'm full" day will only last a day, and then I'll be okay, so I just do the best I can.

I think we all have those days. Hormonal fluctuations are a normal part of life, so try to listen to your body. There will be days where you are more hungry and days that you are less hungry. It will all even out :D
  • I tend to drink more water on those days. Sometimes I have a hard time deciding between hunger and dehydration and lets face it, we definately need more fluids during TOM. But, when I can't help myself, I look to baked instead of fried salty foods and dark vs milk chocolate for the sweet moments. Hope this helps!
  • I just drink more water than I normally do. Contrary to what most people think, you should drink more water during the TOM. Drinking more water keeps my hunger pains away and also takes away the bloating feeling.

    Drink More Water

With regards to bloating during menstruation, you now understand that water retention is the main culprit behind that unsightly paunch that’s developed over the waistline of your skinny jeans.

So why am I telling you to drink more water?

Simple: if you don’t drink past the point of normal hydration, then your body is going to cling to all of that water like its life depended on it (and in a way, it does!).

Think about it this way: if your body gets just enough water to function at a normal and healthy level, then it won’t be able to use that water to flush away the toxins in your system – and that includes all of your bloating during menstruation.

With that in mind, it stands to reason that if you drink a little more water each day, your body will have exceeded its hydration needs.

Therefore, it will start to use the excess water to flush away the bloat.

So how much water should you start drinking to get rid of the bloating during menstruation?

Experts recommend drinking a minimum of six to eight 8oz glasses of water each day. Not only will this leave you feeling hydrated and energized, but you’ll be amazed at how quickly your bloat disappears.

That time for me is the 2 weeks before I get my period. It is horrible. I always explain it like a monster has taken control of my brain and hands and stuffs tons and tons of horrible food into my mouth. I have really bad hormone problems from my brain tumor and I get completely out of control for those 2 weeks. Every single month. Even with that I have managed to lose 55lbs since I started in June. I just make better food choices and work out more the other two weeks. Sure I gain after those 2 weeks every time, but I also lose more the other two weeks to make up for it. It sucks, but I'm used to it now.
