Am I eating too little?

I am currently working with 1200 calories per day, but I also go to the gym every day and average about 800 calories burned per workout. Because of my workouts I defintely eat more than 1200 calories, but when I am finished logging everything each day I end up with a couple hundred calories left over. Should I try to balance my diet and exercise so that there are fewer calories left at the end of the day?
