Should I set a goal

I have been steadily exercising and gym training now since November, and have lost weight and feel great 6 kgs lighter.
However I feel now that maybe I should have an aim - it might feel better to know how far I have to go, know I am half way there etc.?
I do feel better just getting fitter, my goals are health motivated and I would like to lose the weight I have always carried since my teens, but as I have never done it before I don't know what to aim for.
I am female, 5'3", about 70kgs - what benefits are there to having a number target/goal?

I think you are looking amazing just now! New profile pic should be your goal for today! But perhaps a non-number related goal will help keep you going. So say, at Easter I will be able to do whatever in a certain amount of time......that 6 weeks away. Something daft - like ride a horse or another new sport .(lots of new muscles to find and work out!).. or something sane like training for the fun-run in June - that's up to you! Xxx0
