Hey everyone. I need to see what you guys think about this situation. I started MFP at a little over 200 pounds. With my strict diet and exercise routine, I lost just around 50 pounds now. Up until now, I've been fine. I always ate my calories but would sometimes leave a few leftover and let it be (exercise cals). Now let me bring up February. I started this month at 160. I've lost 4 pounds this month, but it's been weird. I'll go one week, gaining a pound, then lose it back the same week. Last weekend I gained 2 lbs, and it was gone by today. My weight has fluctuated between 156-159 the past few weeks now. I feel like I hit a stand still. My body has been telling me to eat more lately. Is this a sign? I changed my settings to "maintain". Now I should be consuming a little over 2,000 calories a day. This is what I've been doing the past few days and it feels much better for me. I weighed in this morning at 157. I won't update my ticker just yet though. Could be because of the weekend cheating. lol.

All my friends and family tell me, DON'T lose any more weight. They tell me to now maintain. My back, arms and chest are really thin. I look almost lanky, lol. I feel great though. I think now, what I should do is maintain this weight and prepare to get toned. I want to start lifting and get my legs and arms nice and firm. Would this be a good time? I'm pretty much at a weight I feel is comfortable. I think I will stick to the maintaining now and start to get into the 2nd part of my journey soon. Opinions, friends? :)

You should definitely maintain. If you feel good and your family is telling you, especially if it seems in a concerned way, to not lose anymore weight I woudl trust yourself and trust those who love you most! Maintaining can be hard so just focus on that for now and getting into toning is a great idea :) Best of luck and congrats on the weight loss.
