What is the latest time you should eat before bed. I think it should be 2-3 hours before bed. What do you think?

It doesn't matter. Just make sure you swallow everything before falling asleep or you could choke.0

you can eat right before you go to bed. it has no ill effects on weight loss if thats what you concern is about. your body constantly metabolises.
i work night shift..my bed time is the morning..i always eat breakfast right before bed. hasnt bothered me0 -
There isn't a cut off time. If you've got 300 calories left to spare and at them at 12:00 midnight, it wouldn't matter.............well unless for me it was ice cream since I'm lactose intolerant and the sheets would be parachuting all night.

I think you should stop eating while sleeping. That could be dangerous

Stop eating at bedtime. It's messy to eat while asleep.0

I prefer to eat dinner late (9:00-10:00PM) and feel like I sleep better when I have dinner an hour or two before I go to bed. I have heard both that it's not good for your metabolism and also that it doesn't matter and doesn't have an effect on it at all. I'm curious to see if this debate will be split
When I eat dinner early, I'm more prone to snack all the way to bedtime, anyway. It doesn't work well for me.0 -

10:55 PM. That's when I brush my teeth at night, so food tastes weird after that. Then I go to bed, and I don't want crumbs in my sheets, anyway.0

Stop when you run out of calories......although sometimes that doesn't stop me.:(0

I eat 2500-300 calories at 11:59pm and then eat another 2500-3000 at 12am
I guess it doesn't matter0 -
My Doc says 6 pm.
My Doc also quotes bmi's, a scale I do not accept.
I train about 6 times a week and want to protect my protein levels so have a protein drink b4 bed with egg whites.
That said, I am still on here watching my cal intake.
More of a learning experience than anything else and well,,, if I have to write stuff down, I will b more strict with myself.0 -
Your metabolism does not slow down at night or when you're sleeping. Eat whatever time you want. But as previously mentioned, stop eating when you fall asleep.0

The only time I'd tell somebody to not eat before bed is if it interfered with them getting to sleep. Other than that It really does not matter.
I've had pretty busy days where I've had to down around 1k cals fairly close to going to bed.0 -
You shouldn't eat after 8:17 pm EST. That is the cut-off time for which all bad things happen.0
