How do you (or I) stay on track?

I get sidetracked so easy. First, I should admit that my attempt at weight loss has been half-hearted! Yes, I signed up for MFP and most days I track my food....but it is so easy for me just to say "to heck with it" and go over. Part of my problem is that I resent feeling deprived. Why do I have to give up all the things I love? It almost angers me! I also have PCOS and it annoys me that it is harder for me to lose weight! Inevitably things get harried at work, I travel, or I get sick and my effort goes south! But I am not here to complain...I am here to learn from people who struggle like me and people who have been successful in their weight loss journey....how do you stay on track? How do you overcome all the stuff in life and day-in and day-out still track calories and come in under? How do I psychologiclly keep myself from feeling deprived? I could use some advice...or maybe a good swift kick! ;D.
