pedometer counts your steps...HRM measures your heart rate and how many calories you burn! HRM is the way to go!

It depends on your goal. If you want to increase your daily movement, a high tech pedo is awesme. I have a Fit Bit and love it (about 100 bux)

The HRM I have is the Polar F4 and THAT is my favorite toy. It has a strap for your chest to count your heartbeats during exercise. This helped me to not over eat, and to also challenge myself to work harder or longer.

I would see 280 calories burned and just have to get to 300. I would look and it was 323 and I would need an even number:laugh:

Things like this keep me challenging myself in a workout.

Honestly, I would choose one and not skimp. I bought a cheap HRM when I started and it was a PIA......had to put my finger on it every so often which would reduce my hr and take my concentration off my workout.

    The F4 was 100 bux too:flowerforyou:

I would definitely go w/ a HRM. I also use a Polar FT4 and I promise you, you won't regret that purchase (if you choose it).

    HRM! Gogo! Best buy ever.
I have a Sigma Onyx Balance, it goes for like 80 bucks, and it's pretty damn awesome.
