I need to order or buy one this week. I have a 90 day fitness challenge starting on the 27th. My weight will be tracked and posted with all other contestants at an MMA school. I'm not taking MMA classes (my kids do) so I need to do the workouts on my own.
So I need to decide on a program. I'm deciding between KettleWorx, Jillian Michaels Shred, and Insanity. I need opinions and reviews from people who have tried any or all of these pleeeeease!!!

I'm not sure what you mean by "beginner"? I can tell you Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred is tough at the begining, but a great workout that only lasts 20mins. I consider myself in good shape now, not great, just good and I still find it tough! If you are truely a beginner and very out of shape (flight of stairs make you winded) then maybe look into Leslie Sansone's DVDs - 1, 3 and 5 mile walk. Never treied the other 2 DVDs you have listed, sorry.0

By beginner I mean I've been a lazy slacker lately. I'm not terribly out of shape. I'm 5'2" and 134. I am "lightly active" as they say. I have 2 boys and we walk, play and ride our bikes together. I just don't do any official regularly scheduled excericise regimen.
I'm liking what I've read about 30 day shred so far.0 -
30 day shred is great but short. If you do it make sure to up the dumbells as soon as you feel they are getting to light, just to keep at it. And maybe do some additional cardio or combine two levels and do them back to back for a longer workout.0

I'd like to see something for beginner's too. All I see is Extreme this and Boot Camp that. DVD's seem to all be tartgeted to the upper 10% of the super fit already. Surely there are other people who are off the couch, but not looking to ultra marathon.
Hope to see some DVD's for my humble level.0 -
Hands down- Jillian 30 DS.
I started to feel great from day 1.
But again, that's the only one I tried!0 -
Thanks everyone. A short workout is ok with me because 5am will be my time to do it. I leave for work @ 6am, get home by 5pm and have 2 kids a hubby a dog and a house to take care of. Needless to say I'm fried by 8pm and night workouts are not gonna happen.
A good half hour in the morning is a great start for me.0 -
Biggest Loser Cardio Max and Biggest Lower Power Sculpt are the DVDs I used when I got started a few months ago. These are great beginner DVDs that feature the contestants of Biggest Loser. They are fast paced and have a variety of exercises that will help tone your whole body.
They helped me improve my fitness enough to start taking spinning classes, and that helped me enough that I'm getting ready to start Insanity!0
