Right so Several times on here I have herd you have to eat 3500 calories to put on a lb.
Does this mean that you have to burn 3500 to loose a lb.
I have recently went off the rails and gained around 5-6 lbs and desperately want to loose this extra weight.
Please help me..

You need to have a deficit of 3500 calories to loss. You need to have an excess of 3500 calories to gain. So you need to eat 3500 less calories than your body needs to operate to lose. And you need to eat 3500 more to gain. Its all about the math. It's not just exercise or eating. Its a combination of both.
  • 3500 calories = 1lb

therefore if you have a calorie deficit over the week of 3500 you'll lose 1lb and if you have an excess of 3500 well.....................!!!!!!!!

    p.s. in theory!!
