Hi! I saw your response to the post about the numbness in the ball of the foot and would like to hear more of your opinion. I am also having this problem but it has just recently started. I've been running for about 3 years now but the numbness did not start until about 4 months ago and it is only in my right foot. I have tried my old running shoes, my new running shoes, a new style running shoes (all Brooks which I was fitted for), and lacing differently. Once the numbness starts, it quickly turns to pain and I must stop running. It usually starts about 1/2 a mile in. Any advice/suggestions?

    Thank you for this reply!
My left foot always gets tingly and numb when I exercise.
It just so happens that when I shattered my ankle a few years back the surgeon did a bit of nerve damage. (Nothing major, but I did lose sensitivity on the top of my foot.)

For a while there I was worried it was due to another major health issue. Glad to know it's probably related to the other injury I sustained.
