Newbie from the UK

Hi all

I joined yesterday and have spent a while looking through the posts and motivational stories before deciding to post my introduction.

I am 24, 5ft4 and 196lbs making me pretty overweight. I wear a UK 16 although that seems to vary considerably depending on clothes and shops (I have quite a small waste but boobs and a bum which makes buying anything flattering impossible).

My key aim is to become a fitter size 12-14 and about 140lbs by August which is when I start my first job in healthcare. I don't want to be a hypocrite. I have some smaller aims which include buying a size 14 dress for my graduation ball in June and being comfortable in it.

I have a number of challenges coming up. I have a strange lifestyle in that I live in a different place during the week to at weekends. I am also a student and share 3 evening meals with 3 other students with no diet issues. I wish I could change but due to lack of cooking facilities it would be impossible for me to cook a separate meal on these days. I am also facing some pretty massive exams which are taking most of my attention but I've had enough and I want to do this now.

I am looking for friends for motivation and to tell me off for my bad food choices! I have a supportive boyfriend but don't talk to him about this. I worry that if I mention feeling fat or dieting then he might stop finding me attractive. Weird anxious trait coming through there.
