Getting tired when eating CARBS

I hope this doesn't end up a big huge debate about carbs. I just need to know if perhaps its a sign I am gluten/wheat/high carb intolerant.

Lately, if I have a snack of carbs at home after dinner such a ONE serving of pretzels (17 twists) or a serving of dry cereal (ONE cup of cheerios) or a small apple, all of which are alloted in my daily calories, I end up falling asleep watching TV. I mean REALLY falling asleep. I have a hard time waking up and trekking it to the bed from the couch. One minute I am watching a show and a few hours later I wake up not remembering what show I was watching. I ate some baby carrots the other day and it happened too.

Per my diary, I get 100-150 a day from fruits, wheat and veggies.

I never seem to get the 'energy' others say they get from carbs. Granted the above items aren't the BEST of the best, but they are snacks, not meals and it just seems like perhaps I may BE intolerant to them.

I don't have any other issues other than they make me real sleepy.

Does anyone else feel the tiredness from eating too many carbs?

I've heard of people having this same problem, but I don't know what causes it. You may want to try cutting out wheat products and only eating carbs from fruits and vegetables to see if that makes a difference. Or you might have to eat your carbs only at night where its okay to just go right to sleep.
