Unexpected/Unwanted side effects

I have a couple: My wedding band will probably be too big when I reach my goal, it's already getting pretty loose, it is titanium so it can't be re-sized. Have to buy another I guess. Also, I have so much more energy now I can't sleep as long as I'd like. I wake up usually an hour before I have to get up for work and not being able to sleep in on the weekends I hate but I'm just not sleepy.
Anyone else have unwanted/unexpected side effects of losing weight?

Why is the less sleep a bad thing. If you're not tired get up and do something. Exercise, clean, I love having more awake time that I am not sleepy. The ring on the other hand is a bummer. You might see if a jewler could add a ring guard.0

yep. My arthritis pain in my joints went completey away, I stopped snoring completely, and I can get off the floor much easier.0

My sleep habits are gone. I don't just wake up early, I wake up frequently and then have a hard time getting back to sleep.0

I'm going to be ever so slightly irritated when my clothes just don't fit any more, but I don't mind. Such a small annoyance is worth everything gained from weight loss.
I am sorry about your wedding band though. ):0 -
Most jewelers will tell you that about Titanium and more complicated gold rings. They don't have the experience to do it correctly and really just want to sell you something new. I found this out in 2008 when I wanted to get my ring resized up and add another custom band. I was told that my ring could not be resized up and then back down, that it would ruin it. I found a reputable jeweler who was not part of a chain and he said BA HUMBUG to that nonsense. I had the ring sized up and added another custom band to it. He told me to come back to him when I needed it sized back down. I DO need it sized down, but want to wait to get to my goal weight. So my advice is shop around your area for an independent jeweler, preferably one who does his own work.0

It's not really a bad thing, I've always thought sleep was overrated. I'll probably start doing that. Get in a half hour on the elliptical before work.So my advice is shop around your area for an independent jeweler, preferably one who does his own work.
I'll look into this!0 -
Yes, I'm dieing to sleep in on the weekends! haha
Aside from that, my main problem area is my stomach and the weight is coming off slowly just not "gracefully" if you know what i mean. Although my waist is slimming down its looking a bit funky. But that is also what keeps me motivated everyday.0 -
My husband has a titanium wedding band and when he lost weight we took it back to the jeweler that we purchased it from. He in turn sent it back to the company and they sent us a smaller size band. I don't think that it cost us anything. We might have had to pay for shipping.0

I have a friend who is a jeweler and owns his own business. I can ask him later today and he could do it by mail when you are ready.0

That'd be awesome Bill! Thanks!!0 -

Wow!!! I can't wait to stop snoring and my sciatica goes away.0 -
I'm constantly FREEZING! I never knew how great an insulator fat is.0

My ring is getting loose also. But mine can be re-sized thankfully. As for the sleep issue, you should try melatonin. I was having the same problem until I started taking it and it is great. It is sold in the vitamin section at stores. I think you have to take it on a daily basis though for it to work well.0

Oh yeah...that too! Everyone I work with thinks I am crazy because I am so cold.0 -
EDIT: I think I misunderstood the question :P0

When I sit for longer periods of time in harder chairs, my sitz bones hurt. They also hurt when I go horseback riding, because there's less cushioning there from fat, haha.0

Me too! I feel the cold so bad now. It's nearing the end of summer here, lovely warm days & I've just bought an electric blanket haha0 -
My wedding ring has needed resizing for years now! lol! Even though I am currently trying to lose weight, its gone up and down a lot in the last 10 years. Not to mention, I'm nearly 10lbs down from where I was when I got married.
Also in the always cold camp!! But I've been that way since I had my second child, lol.0 -

I have this issue. I don't see it as a good thing, I see it as a bad thing. I like to sleep. I find myself waking up about 4-5 times per night.0 -
I have a much shorter sleep cycle now than before and I think it is from a variety of causes. I've never needed a lot of sleep, usually 6-8 hours is fine for me, and sustainable, and I've always been a morning person. I try to eat a ton of raw veggies and fruit, lightly cook when I do, and I try to eat vegan (hard when the roommate makes delicious cheesy corn muffins, and I just want a little taste!). I started doing Bikram Yoga a few weeks ago too. I am getting in to endurance bike riding too. My energy has sky-rocketed with all these dietary changes and intense work-outs! I wake up early, usually before my alarm. And I wake up ready to go. I'm finding that I am sleeping sometimes as little as 4 hours a night, but still feel fine. This weekend I "slept in" until 7:20. Being that I am a morning person I do not mind. I also do not try to fight my early mornings. I bike at 9 or 10 am and do yoga at 5:30 am a few days a week. I go to bed early and wake up early on a regular basis, I feel great, and I love it! I'm going to eliminate alcohol from my diet for the next few months so I'm wondering how that will impact my energy level!0

I sort of had to relearn how to walk. I hobbled and limped as I got used to carrying less weight. It happens every twenty pounds or so -- I just realize I don't feel comfortable walking and have to make a conscious effort to change the way my feet hit the ground.0

I would add (though you've probably thought of this) to make sure that independent jeweler has a guarantee on their work as well.
I would also add, that the only "annoying" thing is that losing weight causes my husband to lose his train of thought when talking to me. He's caught staring a lot more. Heehee!0 -
I find i'm sleeping well, but I have a TON more laundry to do. All the sweaty workout clothes need to be washed so I can have them to wear again!!
it's a problem, but I'd gladlly wash the clothes!!0 -
I've been wearing my wedding bands on my left hand for months. I won't get it resized until I hit goal and maintain for awhile. I was thinking about just buying a cheap wedding band for my right hand for now.0
-
my wedding rings are also getting more loose. I can't sleep on my side anymore because my hip bone is there with no extra padding LOL0
-
I take valerian root to help me sleep. My skin needs more water and lotion now.0
-
Freezing all the time. And the loose skin. Yuck.0
-
My pants fall off... I bought a belt but now its too big also... this is a good problem to have but I don't want to buy new clothes until I reach my goal0
