I take Orlistat in the form of Alli, which is 60mg of Orlistat. I have had good results without any of the negative side effects. The important thing to remember is that this is not a magic pill that will erase whatever mistake you might make. If you choose to eat the entire pie of pizza it will end up in your toilet bowl and/or on your pants (I know this is an extreme example but this is the best way I can describe to people that your diet needs to be taken seriously regardless of whether or not you are taking pills to help with your weight loss journey)!

If this is prescribed to you, I'm assuming that you are having a higher dosage of Orlistat, and based on this your doctor should have talked to you about how many grams of fat per meal you are allowed to consume so that Orlistat can do its job without you suffering the negative side effects. Personally, my dietary need is 12-15grams of fat per meal, I stick to 12grams. Therefore, I get the necessary fat and don't have to change my pants after every meal.

Good luck on your diet! The first week will be hard because you are going to be constantly watching what you eat, but after that it will become intuitive. Just remember, there is such thing as good fat, focus on eating half the serving of that (like avocados, or natural peanut butter) to get the benefit.
