Low BMR

Depending on what calculator I use, my BMR ranges from 1521-1826. I have an office job so I choose "sedentary" even though I hate being sedentary. I know I need a 500 calorie deficit to lose a pound a week, which puts me at 1260 a day which I am comfortable with. Does anyone else have what seems like a really low BMR? Is it because I'm only 5'2?

I am 4'9 and my I'm only supposed to eat 1210 calories to lose 1lb a week. I think it may be a height thing. I also am sedentary because of my desk job.0

My BMR is 1300-1400, depending on which calculation you use. With activity, I get about 1600-1800. I have a desk job but only work 18.75 hours a week. The rest of the time, I'm running round after my 2 boys. My goal weight BMR is just over 1100 with maintenance calories at just over 1400 lol Hopefully, by the time I get there, I'll be moving enough to warrant 1500 ish.
I've just cut my calories to 1200 net so I can lose 1lb a week. I was eating 1300 net but not really losing anything.0 -
Mine is 1521.25 not including any movement or exercise. Adding a 45 hour a week desk job wouldnt increase it by much, maybe 300 a day?0

My BMR is 1326 and I'm 5' 6" so I'm not sure height is it. I sit at a desk all day (although I exercise every day). I think its a combination of weight, height, gender and activity level which are all the compents you enter when its calculated!0

I am 5' 7" tall, my BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is 1326.
I suspect you are actually talking about your TDEE, (total daily energy expenditure)?0 -
My BMR is around 1000 calories per day and I am around 5'2". That is all I would burn if I were lying in bed doing nothing. If you think that a BMR of 1500 to 1800 is low, I wonder if you are confusing the meaning of BMR with something else.0

Ok my TDEE is 1819 if I dont exercise, and 2084 if I exercise 1-3 days a week. (I do 3.) That makes more sense!0
