I heard about this walk on TV... so I decided instead of working out with Jillian (30 Day Shred) or my Wii I'd do that this morning.

I started at the beginning of the pack. I shadowed two other gals. Towards the end there was only 5 or so people ahead of us (two who ran, one power walking man). I kept up with the gals pretty good until the end when I decided I'm crazy to try and kill myself just to say I kept up with them... It kept my heart rate up though! I worked ALOT harder than I would have without trying to keep up with them.

It was 3.37 mile course (someone who walked it measured it before had) it took me 51 minutes and I burned 628 Calories!

Yay! now please excuse me while I .... erp! lol

That is so cool we have that in common! Thank you!
  • I did an MS Walk a on 4/4! I even sponsored my own kids so they could come too. One of my best friends has MS so her mom donated our team with shirts. It was a great experience. While I wasn't at the front of the pack, I was pushing myself and was exhausted when done. I think our walk was around 4 miles, up & down hills.

    Congrats on your walk :drinker:

That is great that her mom donated the shirts.

The course they had us do was up & down hills too and to pass the strollers you had to walk on thick sod and unbalanced areas... It definately was a more difficult course then the 5k I did last year and will do again May 2nd that is majority of pavement but flat and not hilly. ( I also go at a slower pace because my dad walks with me in that one.)
