Question about "cheat" days; even if they're accidental

Here it is, Fat Tuesday, and here I am, coming off a binge. I haven't had one in close to a year. This morning I felt like I had a relapse. I had a migraine and just ate and ate and ate-- and it wasn't good things, either. I had donuts. Several of them. I also had two slices of pizza. This doesn't sound **that** bad (ugh, except that it's 2 p.m. and i'm already over cals for the day), but now I'm faced with a dilemma: do I fix it now, or fix it tomorrow?
Yes, I hear that "why put off 'til tomorrow what you can do today" saying in my head. If I have a real "cheat" day, should I just eat what I "want" and let go for the day? Or should I get back on track tomorrow? I'm talking within reason here. I guess I'm confused because I'm on Atkins (a version of it, anyway) and I just ate very bad non-Atkins things and I feel like crap.
So, when you screw up, do you chalk the whole day up as a loss? Or do you get back on track immediately?
I'm honestly curious. My goal for today as of writing this post is to eat reasonably but not low carb for the rest of the day. Should I do that? Or should I go back to low carb immediately after I just gorged myself on 230 (omg... it really was...**cries**) grams of carbs?

Why would you just allow yourself to pig out for the rest of the day? You realized you overate. Fix it now.
If I tell myself that I'll start over tomorrow that never happens.
Start now. Eat healthy for the rest of the day. Eat tons of veggies, fruit and drink a lot of water. Get some exercise in.0 -
Well, the best thing for you to do is to start now, but............................if it was me i would say "what the heck, i already blew it"0
