Today I started off good with my Go Lean cereal but then I went to an event and had 6 cream puffs, 6 keebler fudge striped cookies, an unidentified but very tasty puff pastry with a chocolate/nutty filling, and washed it down with two glasses of lemonade. Oh, and for the rest of my lunch I had two deviled eggs...:ohwell:
Came back to the house and thought about not logging this or the rest of the day for that matter. Was ready to throw in the towel.... but when I went to close the window, I thought about it and decided to be honest with myself and of course, I blew my goals for the day. Then I thought about not wanting to go walk or do any excercise today. I looked at my calories for the day and decided to do something about it so I got the kids, turned up the cd player and danced with my girls for over an hour! I mean, non-stop, sweating, could hardly talk dancing. We laughed, had fun, acted silly and I burned enough cals to cover for my sins of the day!!
If it wasn't for this site, I don't think I would have made that choice. Thank you, thank you, thank you MFP and to all of you who contribute to make it what it is!!!:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

I'm glad you got up and started burning it off! You made the best decision (the dancing part, not the cream puffs:laugh: )
we will all make choices that are gonna be high in calories, but to get motivated and go burn them off..... that's priceless!
I hope my friend Dave sees this- he's a big advocate of not waiting til tomorrow to turn yourself around0 -
GOOD FOR YOU!

I DID THE SAME THING TODAY I WENT OVER BY A 125 CALORIES AND I DID SOME AEROBICS AND GOT ON MY BIKE AND BURN MORE THAN WHAT I WENT OVER IM NOT GONE EVEN BOTHER WITH THE EXTRA CALORIES0 -
Congratulations on NOT putting off your exercising!
I do the same thing, and dancing around my living room is MY favorite form of exercising too! :happy:0 -
so in this same vein....
last night I had finished with my calories for the day, and I was watching a movie with DH. I was having a coke zero, he was eating candy/chex mix. I resisted for most of the movie, but then he set it down and there was just a little left. So I finished it. It was about 150 cals worth.
So today I went to the gym, and I am considering not logging that exercise, in the idea that I ate those exercise calories last night. If I don't log it, I'm kind of even. Right?
what do you guys think?0 -
Way to turn it around!!!!! That is why I keep coming back to this site. It just has a way of keeping you going even if you want to give up, cheat, or even lie to yourself. Thanks for the inspiration.:drinker:0
