Ok so I have stuck to this plan rigidly for about 50 days now and the results have been great.

But today is Pancake day and i had promised myself that today I would eat as many as I wanted and not feel guilty, any toppings I wanted (and before the healthy food bashers come in, I'm doing fine thanks)
Well I got home and made them and they were delish!!! i had 3 with nutella on, now last year I would have probably had many more but today I was happy with 3. I am now straight back on plan......

What I am trying to say is before I would have gorged on pancakes and then felt guilty and then continued to eat EVERYTHING in sight!! and blown all my hard work out of the water.

I am willing to take a gain and put it behind me and move on, this way I am not feeling deprived.

Good for you! I do the same thing...if I have a high calorie meal planned or a special night out where I am not counting calories, I try and fully enjoy every bite, eat a reasonable amount (no gorging or binging), and not feel a bit of guilt. Then afterward, I get right back on the calorie tracking train. It works for me and I never feel deprived!

You are doing fantastic if you have reached this point in less than 2 months. It took me a while to get here!

Pancakes here too, but I'm making myself protein ones. :) Enjoy the cakes, it's part of enjoying life! Happy Shrove Tuesday!
