5K, 10K, 45 pounds, one year !!!

Greetings everyone!
I started working out at the gym three weeks ago and found this site while surfing through workout info...
I'm excited to be here and look forward to interacting with all of you. Hopefully I can find a way to support you in reaching your goals. I've already found inspiration here from reading many of your posts. Thank you for that.
For me, my goal is to drop 45 pounds this year and to compete both a 5K and a 10K. Yesterday I began the couch to 5K training program and will be following that for the next 9 weeks. If all goes well I'll follow with the bridge to 10K....
Anyway... all of you have a GREAT day. Stick with your plan and move toward your goal. Talk with you soon I hope!

    Hey. You have very similar goals to me! I want to lose about 10 more lbs but I am desperate to try and run a 10k from a being a beginner. Maybe we could help motivate?
