I am totally with you on the whole Lent and no meat. It is totally worth the sacrafice.

This week I plan on Black Eyed Pea Soup /w Corn bread in the crockpot on Friday and I'm thinking some good old Pancakes and Sausages tomorrow night. I will also be going to mass for Ash Wednesday at 7. Very excited! I MIGHT switch the meals as Friday I'm pretty bombarded with work... we shall see.

not being a Catholic, I've always enjoyed going someplace and ordering roast beef, hamburgers or steak on Fridays and eating it in the restaurant as close to some fish-eaters as I can!

Vegetarian soups, potato pancakes, pancakes, mac and cheese, vegetarian pizza, cereal, pasta, smoothies, salad, yogurt with berries and granola. I don't really like sea food either and fish sticks get boring after a couple of fridays. I also appreciate the no meat rule during Lent and the sacrifice that it represents. Good luck with lent : )
