I have carbs everyday and lost 7pds so far since last Monday...I thought it was ok to have carbs0

Ugh.... I'm doing a 10 day low carb thing right now, and though I'm making it through, I could never live my life like this! I would just LOVE to be able to reach for one of the 4 packages of granola bars in my cabinet right now!!!
This little diet goes like this - You do 10 days of under 30 carbs, then on day 11 you get to eat all the carbs you want. Then you do another 5 days of 30 carbs or fewer, and then your done, and go back to your normal, calorie watching life. You have to go to the gym at least 3x a week for atleast 30 minutes each time. This is supposed to make your body a fat burning machine - We will see if that really happens!!!0 -

This one time I went to KFC. All I wanted was mashed potatoes AND potato wedges. I got some chicken just because I felt I had too but I didn't eat it. I was pregnant at the time though.0

I'm sorry- just getting annoyed with all the carb threads I am reading today. Yes I know, not everyone can eat them- but they are not "BAD" for you. Taking myself case and point- I eat them, and have lost almost 20 lbs. Let's show the carbs a little love!
That's great, for you. For me I feel better and perform great workout wise with lower carbs. I'm not on a low carb diet or anything like that, but my sweet spot for feeling good is around 100g of carbs a day. Any more than that I start to feel bloated and bogged down.
I'm not anti carb by any means, I just knwo what works for me.0 -

I go with the "to each their own" way of thinking. I do better keeping my carbs low. I have a tendency to binge on carby things so its easier for me to stay away as much as I can.0

I also try to keep mine around 100g a day. I have some friends that are total and complete anit carb! It's ridiculous...you NEED carbs. There is a huge difference between "bad" carbs and the ones that I enjoy all day long.0 -
Carbs are tasty. I'm a runner, I need me some carbs!
I've lost all my weight on sensible eating, portion control, counting calories, and a cleaner diet. Carbs are not my enemy.0 -

i agree with you 100%~! we needs carbs, lowcarb diets only work in the short term
I eat carbs alll day long. especially veggie and fruit carbs, my body loves them!!!
Carbs have such a bad rep, and it's sad. People always look for low-carb options in food, but don't realize all the bad crap/chemicals they're eating that the food companies use to replace the carbs
