If your goal is 1400 a day, that IS what your net should be.

If your goal is 1400 a day, that IS what your net should be.

Basically this means that you should eat all of your calories (the 1400) AND any calories you earn from working out. MFP already calculates the deficit you need in order to lose the weight you entered in.
  • Ok, thank you all very much!!!!!! That is what i will shoot for!!!
  • Well, what has been working for me is to eat my goal (net) calories of 1300 a day. If I work out and burn, for example, 600 calories doing Spin class, I will only add on half of those burned calories (in this case, an extra 300). But work-out or not, I never eat above 1600 calories a day....at least that's the goal.

I hope this helps, but everyone's metabolism is different. Be consistent and find what works for you! Good luck and keep us posted!
