Morning, pebbles.

Bad day yesterday. Had what I discovered was a bad reaction to the tetanus booster I got at the Dr. on Friday. Talk about insult to injury. . .got really nauseous/headache-y and vomited all afternoon. I had a case of the unfairs, I'll tell you what. Apparently, about 2 in 10 adults get this reaction after a booster. I told the nurse, "yep, that's me.". . .and slept the rest of the afternoon.

Luckily remembered I had a dusty restorative yoga practice (the thing itself is actually called "good night") so I did that before bed for my gold star.

Today, my intention is Bikram. This is the day I feel strong. (especially compared to yesterday) I'm determined to have a happy flappy.

Take care boogaloo. . .
(Oh, and I've been smiling at strangers, too. Almost always they smile back (but that could be the weather. . .for all I love about it here, it's not a friendly city.):flowerforyou:

I'm lucky - I usually don't have a reaction to vaccines or drugs. That also means drugs don't work very well on me either - allergy medicine does very little. Glad you're feeling better.

Yesterday, after walking some in the morning, a little more in the afternoon, I had to decide what I was going to do with the 30 minutes before we were meeting a friend for dinner. Walking earned more steps, but I needed another yoga to try to get my 5 times a week - so I had conflicting goal charts  . I did yoga - I was very glad I did. I felt so much better. I'm an addict now. I did do almost all standing poses, held for a long time.

I'm not sure I'm going to get my 5th yoga in this week. We are taking my sister back to Fort Worth but not staying the night - so a 7 hour trip today. I'm going to the gym this morning.

    Highway boogaloo!

Good afternoon everyone! This weather has made me so happy and hence, I have been out wondering around the streets of PSU all weekend. It is the start of day-long season which is good in some respects and bad in others. I went way over in calories on Friday due to alcohol. Saturday, however, my friend and I got lost, twice, and probably walked a total of three miles. I didnt eat much since I was outside all day and I didn't drink at the daylong... just walked around and enjoyed. So I think I'm ok. I have a new goal for this week and that is to drink one cup or more of milk a day. I never drink it and I feel like I need to since I'm eating less and it's so nutrient rich.

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend as much as I did. It's supposed to rain here tomorrow and Tuesday. :( ... but having a good weekend was definitely worth it.

    Hi everyone,

I think I will be signing off for a week or so. I have not been feeling well; emotionally and physcially. Nothing happening that would bring this on; in fact I have been working less and the weather is getting nicer. Almost feels like I was working on a rush for six months with work being over the top busy and now time is on my side. I suddenly have time to think and reflect. I am surpised that I am uncomfortable with this refective time I'm having. It is causing me anxiety and I have been in a bad mood. I feel that I would like some time alone from everything "regular and daily" to wallow perhaps, to stand back and try to understand what exactly my mind and body are trying to tell me? Be back soon,
    Anne

Aww, you guys are sweet for responding yesterday. :blushing: I got up this morning and went to the gym with hubby who is working up to 3.5 miles himself. No running, just elliptical - my quads were tired.

Anne, I think I understand - sometimes while you're running on the treadmill (figuratively!), you don't have any time to reflect. And then when you do, it can be hard to figure out how to feel. I have a tendency towards depression, and once I stop rushing I sometimes feel like I don't know what to do with myself. Take a break and get back in touch with yourself. We'll be here. :flowerforyou:

Poor V! At least you won't need a booster for 10 years.

I am the same way. Allergy shots were the only thing that really helped me (hair of the dog, I guess) - most OTC drugs don't do much for me. Neither does caffeine.

    Happy Sunday boogaloo!

    Hey all,
I'm starting to feel a little better, so I may try to work out again tomorrow. This has left me feeling weak and stiff.
Alex has been complaining since last night that his ears are hurting. :noway: In fact he was screaming last night because of it. I'll see if he's still complaining in the morning and then call his doctor to see if he can get looked at for free.
It's just been rough here, but I hope we are on the mend.
I hope you all are well and get things sorted. I'm glad for my pebbles and I am glad I can be a pebble for you all as well. Congrats on the accomplishments last week and let's hope this week is a better one for all of us!
