So my husband has lost nearly 50lbs doing it his way since October, which was pretty much eating what he wanted in small portions. It was working well for him until we started working out i the gym. The 3 weeks after we joined the gym he didn't lose a single pound.
Finally, this last week he started listening to me and logging his food and eating 90% of what MFP told him to eat. He says he has felt 1000x better physically and has even been working even harder at the gym. We are seeing some muscle definition on him from his weight training, but he's looking to see the pounds move. Mid week he had a .4 lb loss which I saw as a positive sign.
Will his body rebound right away and start to drop weight after a week of eating the right fuel the body needs or will he see a gain before a loss?
I know he could be gaining muscle since we are both "lucky" enough to be among the very obese who can gain muscle on a calorie deficit.
I don't want to see him discouraged when he weighs in this week and want to be ready with encouragement and some factual info to toss his way!
We also took his measurements earlier this week, which he hadn't done before that way in a few weeks he can see inches loss even if the scale doesn't move.
