Tell you what Im sick to death of the lads around my age that are coming in the gym and without even warming up just stroll over to the weights area pick up 22k dumb bells and start doing a shoulder press and bang out one set then sit on the bench with mobile phone in hand for the next ten mins. whats the point? I swear some of these lads only go, so they can say ''Ive been the gym this morning'' theres only 3 benches its a joke! I have more respect for the overweight person busting there *kitten* and is in the mode than these lads with skinny calf muscles!

I have my phone out periodically at the gym. But it's because I enter in my exercise and calories as I go. I would forget it all otherwise.

I get irritated by the people that talk on their phone at the gym. Or the people that just chill out on the machines and don't give someone else a chance to use them. I understand resting for a minute or two before starting another set, but when we're talking several minutes, it's time to move on.

i just started using JEFit the other day. love it. keeps track of my weight used, reps/sets, and the timer inbetween sets helps keep me honest.

this is it, you have worded it better than me, they just chillout for ten minutes on the benches, when me and other people want to use them

Ahhh well until they enforce the no mobile phones rule, then what's the issue?

Also, if they're on a bench screwing around, ask them to move along.

I have my phone on me at all times as keep a diary on my phone of the weights I'm lifting and how many reps I'm doing but I also try to keep an eye out for other members waiting for the machine/bench/weight etc.

just hanging out with your phone isn't cool, but there really are a lot of apps i use on my phone.

it has my weight amounts (evernote or jefit), my timer (for recovery and planks), my music. and yes, i occasionally enter my exercise into mfp while i'm resting between sets.

I can't stand the people that are walking 2mph on the treadmill while talking on the phone. I'm going to have to try that jetfit thing though, I hate carrying around my notepad.

JeFit rocks! Have three apps on my fitness page on my phone, well 4 with the calculator but MFP, Jefit and Pandora.

My wife sometimes texts me to pick up something from the store on the way home. Am I worthy of death?

I was guilty of this yesterday. :blushing: I use my iphone for music so I always have it on me during working out BUT my friend texted me freaking out about her bf that during my break I texted back.

    Shoot me?
