Hi, My name is She. I have a personal trainer 2x a week, need to lose 70 pounds and I don't really have my head into it. I have lost before and gained, done a lot of yo yo dieting and am in menopause so I have not been able to lose much.

I can do the working out part, but it's the diet I have trouble with. Any help out there?

Welcome to MFP! I think we each have to customize a plan that is right for us. Some can totally ditch the bad things. But I am a naughty girl who likes naughty things and I just work them in to my calorie allotment.

With a little experimenting you will soon find what is right for you.:flowerforyou:

Welcome She, :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

This is a great site with a lot of good information and support. I started out with no control over my eating and have gotten better over time. I started out by planning my meals the night before and sticking to the plan. At first I didn't count calories, all I did was make a plan and stick to it. After a few weeks of that, I started counting calories.

I found that taking this one day at a time and taking baby steps has helped me a lot.

i also found a group of supportive women on this site. I check in with them every day and share my successes and failures. I've learned a lot from them.

    Good luck----you can do this.

The only advice I can give to you She is that you probably know which foods are bad for you already, right?. Try to stay away from those foods or at least don't eat as much of them. Ya know what I mean. I still struggle with those comfort foods and find myself back in those old habits. All you can do is try your best and you'll be alright.
