Cabbage soup diet?

a friend of mine at work is doing this 'cause somebody she knows is, anybody ever heard of this?

Please Don't tell me to google it:grumble: ...i'm googling it now but i just wanted to hear others thoughts on it.

    Yes, I've heard of it.

    It's a rather foolish way to create a massive calorie deficit. That is pretty much it.

    In what will look like a very arrogant opinion: Anyone with an ounce of nutritional sense would not do this.

    I did the cabbage soup diet for 2 weeks prior to my brothers wedding as my bridesmaid dress was a little snug. Well I lost plenty to make the dress fit and even be a little loose. I was so tired and crabby from doing it though and within a week or two after the wedding had gained it all back. I think it is ok if you need a quick fix for a special occasion, but not something to do to lose weight, keep it off and be healthy.
