Rest day, but didn't - is this OK?

So, today was my "rest" day, but our church was in need of weeding and mowing. I was the only one available so I did it. 80 min. of mowing, yes, 80 and 60 min of gardening (weed pulling). I had a pedometer (iPod app) on the whole time I mowed and the calories logged match up. If I had used Mowing, it would have amounted to 500+ which seemed a little high.

Total for both: 563

My ? is, is this good? I don't want to over do my workouts. Should I rest tomorrow instead?

Thanks.

My opinion is it depends on how you are feeling. If you feel good tomorrow then workout. If you feel sluggish then take your rest day. Let your body be your guide. :)

If you have the energy to do it... go for it!

When your body is screaming pain and you cant function normally, then you have over done it. Sounds like you're on the right track! Good for you :)

You are fine, many people here on this site and in the real world work out 2 times a day 5 days a week. I'm sure you can do some gardening on a rest day.

Thanks for the advice! I almost feel guilty when I don't at least do something every day now. I will definitely let my body tell me if it's OK or not.
