why is my weightloss slowing down?

I've been working out daily and eating better for a couple months now. I don't feel like i'm seeing the results I did in the beginning. Since my son was born in August, 2011 i have lost 40lbs. In the last two months I have only lost about 7lbs. In the last 3 weeks I have only last about 1lb! Is it me or is my weight loss coming to a hault? What can I do to speed it back up?? I work out 5 days a week for about 1 1/2 hours. I've only been following the calorie counter for 6 days now, but I wasn't doing to bad before I started. Anyone else having the same problem? Its really slowing down my motivation when I don't see the scale dropping like I used to. Also, need some more friends on here!
