Just need a little reassurance...I think?!

I have about 3-8 pounds (have yet to settle on a final goal weight) to lose. So I switched my goal from 1.5 pounds to lose per week to .5 pounds to lose in a week. I am not sure if this is a good idea or not as my body has been living off of 1200-1300 calories for the past 4 months and I will jumping up close to 1500. I am just a little nervous about this. Anyone out there that can calm my fears?
