Question about Strength Training

I have just started strength training...keep in mind I have done very little up until this point. I met with a trainer and we set me up on this ST schedual:
Tuesday: arms (various machines at various weights) 3 sets 12 reps
Thursday: abs/lower back (various machines at various weights) 3 sets 12 reps
Saturday: Legs/Glutes (various machines at various weights) 3 sets 12 reps
I am to see her in a couple weeks for an update but I am wondering if I should be changing anything. She said that the last two reps on the last set should burn. On a few of the machines I no longer feel the burn, which surprises me because this is just my second week...but my arms I did yesterday and today I feel very little where last week I felt it through most of the week....some of the machines I did not feel any real burn.....so now I am at a loss...
Do I up the weight by 5 lbs....do I add more reps/sets? How do I progress?

If you can complete all 3 sets of 12 reps with good form, then add weight.0 -
^^^^
This, and also why are you not doing upper back exercises? Its just as important as your lower back.0 -
Er sorry..hehe upper back is done with arms! I forgot to mention them completely because I feel absolutely nothing when I work them out! So I will definitely try upping the weight a bit. I also have cardio days the other 3 days, so that I get a mix of cardio/strength training...basically 6 days a week with one day of complete rest.0
