Hey all!
So. I'm going on vacation in a little less than 2 weeks. If I reach my "in my head mini goal" I will have lost 10 pounds...

I am going to sunny Florida, where there will be beer and snacks and all kinds of yummy things as I am, after all, going on vacation. I'm not saying I need to have all of it or anything, but I was thinking of changing to MAINTAIN for vacation. Vacation has been my downfall before, but I'm thinking if I make it a bit more reasonable for myself I might be able to not GAIN any weight, even if I don't lose any.

Thoughts on switching to maintain for a week???

When I am on vacation, I relax things for myself. Try to make wise decisions, but if I really want to indulge in something, I do. I am sure there are many people that stick to things right thru vacation, but I am not one of them. :drinker:

I'm going on vacation too. But I'm going to count my calories the whole time and utilize the free time and work out equipment in the hotel to keep my calories in check. You have to think about how hard it will be to get back on track if you get off.
  • Dont stress too much about it while on vacation. I know I used to eat more and drink more than I needed too, but now, assuming you are more health-wise and conscious of what you put into your body, you can enjoy in moderation. I find if I indulge too much, Im overwhelmed with guilt, and if you're the same way, then it might be wise to try not to get in the cycle of poor choices - guilt - poor choices on vaca!!

Have fun, enjoy, and just love yourself!

Oh for sure I'm still going to count my calories and workout! I didn't mean I was going to just throw away all the progress I have made so far! I just think that changing up to maintaining the weight I get to before vaca, instead of trying to lose more while on vaca, will make things a little more realistic.
