grapefruit

Just a quick question for others out there, I have been good with my breakfasts and switch from high fibre cereal with soy milk, to blueberry smoothies with soy milk and to grapefruit.
The grapefruit makes me fell in a better mood, more energy and more positive.

Is there any real reason for this or is it just in my mind? Any benefits from grapfruit (eaten whole not just the juice) that could explain this?
Cheers

I eat grapefruit too and makes me feel good too. I heard it's supposed to help boost metabolism, but not sure about the science behind that.

What a coincidence that you posted this! Two weeks ago I bought a bag of six pink grapefruit at Costco. I didn't start eating them for a few days, but once I started, I soon become nearly addicted! I am sad that I ate my last one yesterday and won't be able to get to the store again until this weekend.

Seriously, grapefruit has got to be my #1 choice for a snack these days: tastes wonderful, nutritious, nearly guilt-free.

I am glad others feel the same way and I am not going mad. I have stopped and started eating them for breakfast a few times just to see if it was just a "having a good day" thing, but I did feel genuinely more positive and healthier after I had eaten them

Vitamin C does great things for your body. When it's happy, you're happy :D

I haven't noticed that, but grapefruit does have a chemical in it that slows the liver from eliminating other things. It's mostly talked about in terms of grapefruit causing the levels of drugs to increase in your blood. But since the processes in the liver were in existence before the drugs were invented, it makes sense that grapefruit would be having an effect on the levels of some natural substances in your blood.
