Reducing sodium?

I went to the doctor recently and he said that I needed to start cutting back on my sodium intake. However, all of the foods I like tend to have a higher amount of sodium. What're some good ways to cut back on it?

Avoid foods with labels. Buy foods that do not have labels (fresh fruit and vegetables, fish and meat). These foods are not processed and contain very little sodium. Shop around the outer edges of the grocery store. Stuff down the isles is (mostly) packaged, processed, imitation, food-like substances.0

If you can't help but buy processed food (like me..denying yourself of stuff you like isn't good!), compare labels between brands. Look for reduced sodium options as well. Here's some more info from the CDC. http://www.cdc.gov/salt/what_you_can_do.htm
Unfortunately, food companies are the ones who really need to do something about reducing sodium in food. There's only so much a consumer can do!0 -
Check these two threads out. I'm sure there are more but since I posted on these they are in my list so I could find them easier.
