Body Pump Refueling?

I started body pump at my gym a few weeks ago. Today I really really pushed myself hard, and wanted to stop during the squats, LOL. My trainer started screaming to "go go you can do it" and I did!

I exercise like crazy 5-6 days a week racking up calories so I can eat  Most of my diet is pretty good
(my diary is open for critique) I do dabble in some junk, but it's a good balance.

Today I am STARVING! I have taken "muscle" classes for years, but there is always a lot of cardio in those classes. I do a lot of cardio regularly. But where this is out of my norm and new, is it my body "needing" me to eat because of lifting with Body Pump? I am not a bodybuilder by any means, but I LOVE the lean toned healthy look and I am striving for that.

So I can't wait for answers from all you girls (and boys) who lift on a regular basis. Thanks in advance.
