Ilness after weights?

I've noticed a pattern, and not sure what it means (if anything). But though I've been on a great exercise run (5-7 days a week for 13 weeks, 1-2 hours of varying combinations of weight and cardio), whenever I try to push myself on the weights, I get completely sick for days afterwards. Sometimes it's just feeling "off" (sick to my stomach, aching, etc.) but other times I actually get feverish/truly ill (I woke at 1:00am this past Friday wracked with chills and had to soak in a scalding hot tub for an hour to quiet them.) If I push myself at all during the week it seems I can't get through the weekend without sleeping through it it to recover.
Of course, some bugs have been floating around the office and at my son's DC, but the timing of my symptoms seem awfully coincidental with my activity on the weight machines (on weeks that I mainly did cardio or didn't push very hard on the weights I did well.)
I love my workouts and I'm a faithful vitamin taker and 12 glasses of water a day drinker. Any thoughts on culprits, or is it something I just need to work through?

I take some supplements for weight lifting and sometimes the vitamin portion can make you a little sick. Take half of the vitamins in the morning and half in the evening, that might spread out some of the direct affect your stomach takes from them. Good Luck0

I have no idea but I would suggest seeing your doctor. He can rule out any viral issues.0
