Am I losing fat or just water weight?

Hey guys! So I decided last Thursday I was going to start eating better after I realized I had gained 15 pounds since last summer. When I started (last Thursday) I was at 191 lbs, now I'm already down to 186.5 lbs after less than a week. I've been eating about half of the calories I used to eat, considering I ate almost 3,000 a day probably since I would get EVERY meal from a drive through almost.
What are the chances of this weight only being water weight? Do you think it could be fat since I changed my diet so drastically?
