Are you measuring and improving your balance?

Over the past few week, as a result of my workouts for sure, I have noticed a HUGE improvement in my balance. (The biggest contributors I think are the squats and standing ab exercises I have been doing).
At the beginning of the month, I would get a little off kilter taking the stairs two at a time, and need to use the rail. No longer.
At the beginning of the month I could only balance for 5-7 seconds in the Tree Pose.
For reference:

Now I am up to 45 seconds! And I have only done the tree pose about 6 times this month.
At the beginning of the month, I couldn't do this pose at all, I would tip over immediately:

Now I can hold it for about 7 seconds.
So are you measuring your balance? Have you noticed any changes, as you develop more core strength?

I didn't realize how weak my core was until I started doing more strength training and now that I have been at it for over a month I noticed I'm better with my core and balance. I can plank longer and more balanced at it then when I first started.
It's a great feeling huh? Keep it up!0
