Hello.... So I'm really not hungry... just totally bored, and I'm used to the mindless eating of chips or something in front of TV.
I work out 2 hours a day, but late night I still have so much energy and Can Not fall asleep (INSOMNIA)
So It's almost 11 pm (I live in California) and I'll be up for at least another hour, possibly 2.... I already tried the sleepy time tea, any other suggestions ?

Whenever I can't sleep I put something I know I would think is super boring on Tv. If that doesn't work I made a playlist on my Ipod of all slow songs and I turn off the tv and lights and just listen to that0

This may only work for me, BUT, if I log onto Pinterest, I don't even think about food. It completely wipes out my boredom.0

Brush your teeth, chew gum and stay out of the kitchen!0

I'm in Cali too and I suffer from severe insomina. I'll be up till at least 2am at the earliest ahah
I live with my boyfriend so sleeping in the same bed as him gives comfort to fall asleep soundly, but he's gone tonight lol
I also take a medication every night (for a different reason than insomnia) that just so happens to make me sleepy every time I take it...but sometimes my insomnia is so bad, I could stay up for hours even while on the meds. It sucks
But honestly sleeping with someone is my best remedy.0 -
When I find myself wanting to eat out of boredom, I get my hands busy with a physical task:
Going onto the computer to play games until I either get tired, drowsy, the urge passes, or all 3 happens.
Never fails!0 -
Samn here! 2-3 at the earliest! Smh sad I know. I'm in bed but the night stand lamp, and TV are on, and my hubby doesn't get home from work until 11! Soooo I stay up so we can spend time together. It's been this way for years. I heard not getting the adequate amount of sleep can hinder your weight loss. *tear*0

I used to suffer from insomnia, especially in the fall/winter cause of the time change, plus my work is seasonal mainly, so my hours get changed around. These are tips that have helped me:
Go to bed around the same time every night.
1hr or so before bed, write down all the things I want to get done the next day so I don't keep waking myself up to remember this or that.
Turn off the TV, get off the Internet.
Put on some candles, relaxing music without words usually, jazz, yoga and etc and make myself a cup of tea with valerian in it.
Read a brain candy book that doesn't require much thought, so no nuclear physic books!
Last 15 minutes, hot tub if I had a stressful day and have alot of muscle tightness. Or a hot bath.
Stretch.
Climb into bed and visualizing each muscle slowly relaxing, usually don't make it all the way through and zzzzz!0
