I work similar hours i work 7p-7a 3 days a week. at work right now actually ;) I workout right when i get off work. By the time I get home and showered up, I'm exhausted. I sleep great then! For me it works, but I could see working out before if you are too tired to put in a good workout when you get off work.

When do you sleep on those days?
It is not suggested to work out just before you go to bed.

its all up to you... Myself, I go before because I lack energy after. Not to mention if I do work out late, I can't sleep

I work 10:30p to 7am 5-6 days a week and I workout after work of a morning. Like this, by the time I'm done and get all showered and everything I'm exhausted and crash hard. (Which is quite helpful because I have trouble falling asleep during the day). I'm too awake after work to go straight to sleep and I know for a fact that I won't get up early to go work out.

I work 8pm to 8am, 3 days on 3 days off. On my work days, I go in the evening before work. On my days off, I go shortly after getting up. I find working out when you get up energizes you for the rest of the day. Also(and I could be wrong) it gives for fat burning ability a boost for the rest of the day.

I recently started working night shifts (midnight-8a) and found it better to work out in the mornings before I go to bed, it helps me sleep wayyy better through the day. I tried working out before I went to work and it made me feel pretty drained throughout my shift. Working out before bed used to not work for me before I made the switch to night shift, it used to wake me right up and give me energy, but now its kind of the opposite lol. But it could just be that my body is still adjusting to being nocturnal and isn't liking sleeping through the day so far lol. Hope you can find something that works for you! :)

I'm not sure if it really matters. I don't work out before my overnights (except the first one) because I just can't make myself get up. I work 12 hour shifts though and don't get much sleep inbetween. Just as long as you get the exercise in, I don't think it matters what time. Better than not exercising at all.
