I find that I crave foods high in carbs and salt....does anyone else have this issue? The craving is so overwhelming that I get really miserable if I don't satisfy it. I feel like an addict and I am finding this is a real sticking point to my losing weight. I do really good for a week and then BAM! I'm off the wagon and eating the crap that I hate myself for later!! How can I change this other than will power? Is that what I am lacking? Thanks people!!

I love my carbs! : )
However, try moving to brown carbs - so stock up on brown rice, wholemeal bread and pasta and you might find this helps remove some of the cravings and will satiate you for longer than the refined white stuff. x0 -
I think they are. I remember 'discovering' cous cous, and it was like I had to have some every night. Eventually I got tired of it luckily.0

There has been some studies suggesting that refined carbs and fat (basically junk) can be additive to some as drugs due the endorphin release.
I'm guess you eat a lot of quickly digested carbs which give you an sugar boost that quickly drops and leaves your blood glucose sugar lower, and makes you feel hungry.
Eat carbs with their husks etc on them and you'll find it more forefilling, feel fuller for longer and the fibre will help you pass the food with less issues than other foods.0 -
Food companies spend a lot of money on engineering food with just the right amounts of fat, salt, and sugar so that they taste really good and people want to eat them. Problem is they become addictive because the right amount of just two of those ingredients can stimulate the "reward center" of your brain having a similar effect as nicotine and other highly addictive drugs.0
