So what do you do when you spouse and kids do not support your effort to loose weight and get healthy? I try to get them to go to the gym with me but there are always excuses. My husband is diabetic and way over weight. At 5'9" he weighs over 300. But I watch him gorge. I made a healthy dinner last night and then he pulls down a thing of potato chips (kettle cooked russetts) that he bought and ate the whole bag. This is big size bag. Later he had a 20oz class of chocolate milk. Then ate 2 pieces of cheesecake that someone gave up recently. I roughly added up his calories for the day of what I knew he ate and came up to over 4,000. I tell him that we need to do this as a family and it goes in one ear and out the other. My daughter is good about going to the gym with me but when she gets home she pigs out on all kinds of food right there in front of me. When I say something it is either ignored or I get a smart comment back (from the hubby usually). The daughter does the "I'm a growning girl"...she's 14. So where do I turn for support?
