There are so many protein drinks and supplements out there that it's hard to tell what is the best. I have tried the Vi shakes and I really like them. Then I have heard good things about Shakeology and Advacare products...I don't know which is best or if they are all the same. Does anybody have any input?

Speaking from experience, all of these products are Meal replacements. Unless you plan to eat this way forever, I wouldn't get started on them. It's a simple matter of caloric intake. If you eat the same macronutrient content in whole food as compared to the supplements, you are better off. This is just my opinion mind you, but I believe the supplement industry simply preys upon those who are overweight or wanting to add muscle by marketing these items as necessary for success. The only advantage to them that I can see is conveinence and the fact that they will make you strictly adhere to a certain caloric intake, provided you don't eat a surplus of calories on top of the supplements. But all in all, they are a bad investment IMO. Real food tastes much better too. Hope this helps.

PS, the other interesting thing about all of the weight management supplements out there is the ever present asterix
    * These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. makes you wonder. If you compare the nutrition content of the high priced shakeologies out there, with a simple cheap whey protein, they are VERY similar. If you really want to go the liquid route, That would be a more cost effective way to go. Don't give up.

You are right. Real food does taste much better :) I have been doing pretty well with real food so I think I will stick to it. Thanks for the insight...friend request coming :)
