90 Minutes on the elliptical... now what?

I began in January with 20 minute workouts daily. Now I'm up to 90 minutes of hills that peak on level 17.
My complaint? This takes an hour-and-a-half out of my day, everyday.
My question? Do any of you know of workout routines for the elliptical that will continue to challenge me, that isn't working out 120 minutes, or increasing the resistance? Something like cross-training?
Something like this?
Mon - speed: 60 min on low resistance
Tue - endurance: 90 hills
Wed - strength: 30 min high resistance
Or even changing it up within a workout?
Also, I'm looking for friends with similar goals (motivated, and lots of weight to lose). Just sayin.

Work smarter, not longer.
Add progressive strength training (lifting weights) 3x per week. Do HIIT instead of steady state cardio. When done correctly you can only handle 15-20 minutes of high-intensity interval training. You can still use your elliptical to do this.
You'll burn more calories in significantly shorter time periods.0 -
